-----------paperback, a Fair to Good copy only, overall wear and rubbing, a bit of very shallow chipping, browning to paper, some corners of some pages are turned, rare, movie tie-in edition to the Canadian movie Whispering City which was released as Crime City in the USA, Horace Brown was not a prolific author and later served 12 years as a city councillor in Toronto, there are only a handful of copies known with NO COPIES listed in WORLDCAT (The National Library of Canada does NOT have a copy either !), a very rare piece of Canadian publishing as this is only one of three publications by Global / Streamline -a company which was started by Horace Brown, the only copy I have ever seen and I can safely say, will likely ever see, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo

-----------softcover, digest size, about 5.5 x 7.5 inches, a Fair to Good copy only, offered as is, browning to paper, short tears at staples and front cover but the covers are still attached, cover wear, creases and flaking, center leaf (one folded page - pages 63 to 66 ) is loose with short jagged tears at gutter where detached from the stapled binding, title page and the verso copyright page are intact, overall looks quite presentable but offered as is, a book with a quite famous history, this edition sports a lurid cover photo of the REFORM SCHOOL GIRL in all her slutty glory, short dress, high heels, nylons and garter, dangling cigarette, ample bosom, the model for the RSG was a well known Canadian figure skater named Marty Collins, when the book was released with Marty in all Juvenile Delinquent glory Ms Collins father was upset, very upset, --- contained within the book were two pages of fictional letters from and to the RSG and her father -fictional father I must stress, HOWEVER Ms Collins’ real father was extremely bothered by those (fictional) letters as there are definite conversations between the two about the pregnant Daisy and that Frank, the fictional father, was definitely the father of the child, these rumblings of an incestuous relationship between father and daughter compelled Ms Collins real father to threaten a lawsuit if the "letters" were not removed from the book, Diversey quickly caved and had the two pages of letters ( one page double sided) neatly removed, MOST copies of this book do not have the letter page, this copy does !!, one of only a few known copies with the intact letter page, rare and likely the only copy thus that I will ever handle and only the 2nd copy in 25 years that I have had !! (The other was without the letters), any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo
