I try to provide scarce and collectible books in a number of genres. Books are available from $10.00 to 5 figures, with some genuine rarities. My personal interest is in the area of H P Lovecraft and other Weird Tales writers, including William Hope Hodgson, Clark Ashton Smith, Robert E Howard, etc. But we have many books in many other categories as well, including Military History, Children's Books, Mysteries, Literature, History, Canadiana, Local Histories, Science Fiction and Fantasy, Horror, Philosophy, and more.
I have been selling books for 30 years, and for 25 of those years, this has been my full-time profession.

Our store was opened in 1991 on Ottawa Street in Hamilton, Ontario. Our shop was quickly well received, offering a wide range of books, both general reading material and rare First Editions and collectible (or is it collectable...I never know) books. The LION's BOOK DEN was open until 1999, when we decided to close the shop and concentrate on online sales. We are now a home based business but still try to provide unusual and interesting books...that part hasn't changed. :>)

Shipping and handling rates will be reduced if possible, or your books will be sent via a quicker method. I am interested in selling books, not charging excessive amounts for shipping. Attention Canadian customers: ONTARIO has introduced HST of 13% on postage. Postage rates within Canada are among the highest in the world. Often there is not a lot that can be done about postage charges, and in fact, on many orders, the postage charged is often less than the actual amount charged at the post office (difference is almost always absorbed by yours truly).
