-----------hardcover, a Near Fine copy with a bit of age toning to the upper edge of the text block, in a Good dustjacket with a few small nicks to tips, a bit of light rubbing, long closed tear and a shorter closed tear which have been taped on the verso of the jacket, jacket is now in a hi-quality mylar protector, ---this copy has been signed and inscribed by FRYER on the front blank endpaper to the cartoonist and illustrator GAHAN WILSON, lengthy and warm inscription dated in the year of publication, as well Fryer has penned a verse from CHRISTIAN MORALS by Sir Thomas Browne on the verso of the front board, and as usual all of this is penned in Fryer's very elegant script/hand, laid into this copy is Fryer's business card offering his services for "The Art of Incantation with primitive accompaniment on the tambourine and on the lute guitar - San Francisco's only Neo-Elizabethan Poet-Entertainer" ---on the verso of the business card Fryer has written 2,000 copies in the tradition of S. M. Robertson’s usual edition for George Sterling’s collections”, and finally this copy has at least 13 ink hand corrections by Fryer including one on the rear dustjacket flap, a very nice association copy as Gahan Wilson was the illustrator for The Horror in the Museum by H P Lovecraft which Arkham House had just published in 1970, this contains: "Introduction", by Dr. Ibid M.
